RINGS -- Many believe that anyone who doesn’t buy a “real” diamond is a cheapskate buying an inferior product. This is not necessarily true. There is nothing wrong with having a diamond from natural sources. Natural diamonds, however, are neither rare nor superior. Jewelers identify diamonds that came out of the earth by the impurities and flaws in them. Manmade stones, set in gold, platinum, and rhodium are often much more brilliant and usually flawless.
Man-made “diamonds” are called zircons or cubic zirconia (CZ). Consider this alternative if you are on a limited budget. You can get truly spectacular stones for a couple of hundred dollars, not go in debt and not have to fear a major financial loss if stolen, etc.
ARCHES, CANDLES, FLOWERS, ETC. -- Many important items to beautify and jazz up a wedding can be found at bridal shops. If your budget is limited, inexpensive substitutes for such things as Unity Candle sets can be found at stores like Michael’s, Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts, Etc. Many things can be rented.
SPECIAL EFFECTS -- There are many ways to make weddings memorable. Special locations and settings, something unique about the ceremony, etc. Those with a creative flair can let their imaginations run wild.
