Weddings can get very expensive.  If money is not a constraining factor, there are numerous chapels and upscale facilities available.  Lack of finances need not keep you from having a beautiful and memorable wedding.  Here are some suggestions:

PARKS -- Arizona has many beautiful park settings that are free or nearly free.  You can reserve ramadas for a small fee or send someone to stake out an unused location and hold it.  Some parks have community centers or clubhouses to rent.  Check the government listings under Maricopa County, Parks and Recreation, for the city of your interest.  State parks are found in the State listing.  To find information online go to: www.phoenix.gov/PARKS/parks.html

PUBLIC AREAS -- Check out public areas like the State Capitol grounds.  There are numerous memorial sites and other locations where a wedding ceremony can be performed.  Check with area administrators about rules of use.

HOTELS, MOTELS AND RESORTS -- If finances are not a constraining factor, many upscale hotels have excellent indoor and outdoor facilities to lease.  Most motels and hotels have rooms they lease out for social occasions.  Call us for our suggestions -- 602-234-2096 or 602-631-9684.  Some facilities will allow free, or nearly free, use of some of their beautiful areas for a wedding if you are registered to stay with them for a day or two on your honeymoon.

The day you choose for your wedding can affect costs exponentially.  Saturdays are the most expensive time to rent facilities.  If you can go with a Friday night or
Sunday, rates for this and many other services decline by up to thousands of dollars.

NEARBY LAKES -- Canyon Lake, Lake Pleasant, etc., offer numerous fine settings for weddings.

MOUNTAIN CABINS -- A quick call to realtors in some of our vacation areas can turn up some nice get-away places for rent when the owners aren’t using them.

YELLOW PAGES -- Search under “Halls,” “Restaurants” and “Bars” (many have banquet halls for reasonable rent), “Clubs” (some help pay the bills by renting their halls), “Historical Places and Services” and “Wedding Chapels.”
